GWK lighting

The old lighting of the large wave flume consisted of high maintenance high pressure mercury lamps. It is now getting replaced with energy saving LED lights. The good light distribution of the new LED lights also halves the number of required lamps.

The aim of this upgrade is the reduction of energy consumption and we will save on average 70% after the upgrade is completed. This equated to 44,030 kWh per year and a reduction of the CO2 foot print by 519.56t for the life cycle of 20 years.
