Synchronised video system
The video system at FZK consists of five cameras which can be synchronised among each other as well as with the data acquisition system. This synchronising together with an external trigger allows to relate video sequences directly to other measurement devices and data.
Four of these cameras record 30 images per second (resolution 1292 x 964 pixel), one records 330 images per second (resolution 640 x 480 pixel). Given correct positioning, the cameras allow for photogrammetric acquisition of morphologic changes and other processes which are subject to temporal and spatial developments. FZK has special MATLAB tools to process the videos and analyse data quantitatively.
